We Hosted our Launch Events to the Hairdressing Industry

To celebrate the launch of the new The Hairdressers’ Charity, the charity recently arranged two industry soirees hosted at L’Oreal Professionnel Academy and Salon International.

Movers and shakers from the hair industry came together as our President, David Drew, presented the new direction of the charity and how new developments such as Gift Aid will help to bring much needed money into the charity.

Born from the Hair and Beauty Benevolent, The Hairdressers’ Charity is the new official charity of the hair industry and has been created to help hairdressers in need. The Hairdressers’ Charity has been established to support hairdressers and ex-hairdressers who have been affected by illness, disability, bereavement or financial hardship. With over 300 applicants requesting help each year, the charity will rely on support of the hairdressing industry to enable help for those who need it most.

“We’d like to thank our generous supporters L’Oreal Professionnel and Salon International for kindly hosted our launch events. We were able to reach almost 100 key people within our industry and share our hopes and direction for the future. We have had great response from people confirming financial and brand awareness support, which is ideal. Following from the launch Babyliss PRO decided to donate 10% profits from Salon International to our charity which was amazing to hear. These donations can be life changing for our beneficiaries. We’re thankful to all our sponsors and supporter’s during this exciting time for the new charity,” explains The Hairdressers’ Charity President, David Drew.
